HR Houston's University Liaison Committee is committed to advancing the human resource profession by providing opportunities for development and involvement to students entering the field of HR.
Connecting Students to Professionals
HR Houston's University Liaison Committee is comprised of members who support the student HRM programs at local colleges and universities by providing programming, participating in panels and/or networking mixers, and responding to other opportunities requested from the student chapter advisors. This committee is also responsible for promoting HR Houston’s scholarship(s) to the students, for reviewing applications, and awarding the scholarship(s). Campus groups have included University of Houston, UH Downtown, Houston Baptist University, Sam Houston State University and UH Clear Lake.

2017 Scholarship: EXTENDED Deadline: Friday, March 3, 2017, 3:00 pm CT
HR Houston annually provides two scholarship awards to support members who are pursuing a degree to advance their HR careers --
- A $2,500 award to an active HR Houston Professional, General or Student Member who is enrolled for at least 9 hours in a BACHELOR'S degree program in Human Resources at a Houston-area university supported by HR Houston's University Liaison Committee
- A $2,500 award to an active HR Houston Professional, General or Student Member who is enrolled for at least 6 hours in a MASTER'S degree program in Human Resources at a Houston-area university supported by HR Houston's University Liaison Committee
