COMMUNITY & VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE

A volunteer is a person who believes that people can truly make a difference, and is willing to prove it!  Just as human resource practitioners contribute significantly to their companies, volunteers impact the lives of people in our organization and in our local communities.

Whether you volunteer for an HR Houston committee, assist at our annual Symposium, mentor a human resource professional or student, provide job search assistance to someone in need, speak to groups on any variety of employment topics, or take part in a scheduled charity event, little compares with the satisfaction of helping others.

Goals & Objectives of the Community & Volunteer Committee:

  • Increase the number of internal and external volunteer activities.
  • Support HR Houston's strategic plan by increasing involvement and commitment of its members.
  • Increase HR Houston visibility externally.
