The Broader Immigration Implications of “Extreme Vetting” and “Buy American and Hire American”
Presented by Kari Konikowski Blackman and Benjamin J. Schatz, Senior Attorneys, Foster LLP
Sponsored by Foster LLP

In the opening months of the Trump Administration, immigration has been “front and center” in media coverage. A central tenant of the President’s strategy is the notion of “extreme vetting” of visa applicants at U.S. Embassies and Consulates abroad and “Buy American and Hire American” policies to impact CIS adjudications of petitions and applications for immigration benefits. This presentation will examine the implications of this new atmosphere of “extreme vetting” and “Buy American and Hire American” in various areas of immigration law and will provide pointers for overcoming these additional obstacles to getting approval for qualifying cases.

CONTINUING EDUCATION HOURS: The webinar has been submitted to SHRM for 1 Professional Development Credit (PDC) for the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP and to HR Certification Institute for 1 hour of HR (General) credit towards PHR and SPHR recertification requirements.
