LinkedIn is a powerful networking tool, and one that HR should take time to understand in order to support recruiting and talent management objectives.  Learn what to look for in a potential employee by studying your very own LinkedIn profile.  Find out how LinkedIn can be used adeptly to articulate skills, expertise, experience with quantitative and qualitative metrics, and problem-solving by embedding stories inside the profile.

LUNCHEON PROGRAM: The HR Professional Competency Model: A Road Map for Success*

If you or your organization want to understand the critical technical and behavioral competencies needed for individual success and growth at all levels of an HR career, come to this session. You will learn about the HR Professional Competency Model, which SHRM recently developed to allow HR professionals to systematically analyze their competency needs and to help organizations develop performance appraisal tools and other HR systems. In addition, you will learn how several SHRM competency self-development tools can accelerate your professional growth and increase your ability to contribute to the success of your organization.

Credit Hours

*Submitted to SHRM for Professional Development Credits (PDCs) towards the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP and to HR Certification Institute for HR (General credit) towards PHR and SPHR recertification requirements.
 

The chapter is recognized by SHRM as a Preferred Provider and all sessions so identified offer PDCs towards the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP. The chapter has also been designated as a provider of HRCI-approved recertification credit. All sessions so identified may be used to meet HRCI recertification requirements.

Reservations and Cancellations must be made by 12 noon on the Monday prior to the meeting. Members and non-members with reservations who do not attend will be billed $35.  There is a $25 service charge for returned checks.
