This presentation will cover the top 5 trending issues in U.S. immigration and how they impact the day-to-day work of Human Resource Professionals working with a global workforce.  The webinar will cover the most recent development in the revocation of U.S. work visas by the U.S. State Department and how it can impact an employee’s global mobility. A preview of the new U.S. government filing fee increases will be provided and tips how companies can plan their immigration strategies to make use of the current lower fee schedule.
 
The webinar will provide information on the various requirements and limitations applicable to F-1 students working on OPT with respect to cap gap coverage, international travel when their H-1B petitions have been selected and when they have not. This will also include new procedures and requirements for securing the new 24-month STEM extension of OPT.

CONTINUING EDUCATION HOURS: The webinar has been submitted to SHRM for 1 Professional Development Credit (PDC) for the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP and to HR Certification Institute for 1 hour of HR (General) credit towards PHR and SPHR recertification requirements.
