This one-day workshop is designed primarily for HR professionals who have comp responsibilities, but lack a comfort level when getting into the numbers. The workshop will also provide an excellent refresher for entry-level comp professionals.
The workshop will cover all the basics: compensation terms, survey selection, market pricing, building and updating pay structures, merit budgeting, performance management, bonus and incentive plans, FLSA basics, and, as an added bonus, developing professional credibility.
CONTINUING EDUCATION: Submitted to SHRM for 6 PDCs towards the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP. Submitted to HR Certification Institute for 6 hours of HR (General) credit towards PHR and SPHR recertification requirements.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER: BARRY L. BROWN, SPHR, CCP is a well-recognized forward-thinking human resources specialist. Prior to starting his own consulting practice in 1988, Barry's career included nearly two decades of service in the health-care, food service, defense, manufacturing and information service industries. He has held leadership positions with many local, regional and state professional human resource associations. As a national speaker, Barry uses his practitioners' experience combined with a consultant's creativity and a business owner's perspective to educate and engage his audiences.

You must turn onto EAST TC Jester and travel North approx 2 blocks to “Entrance 5” of the office park named “The Preserve”. Turn Right at Entrance 5 and look for the second garage marked Building 2190 for parking. Registered attendees will receive an email confirmation with driving directions at least 24 hours prior to the start of the workshop.
