DO THE RIGHT THING: Eradicating Harassment & Discrimination at Work*

Thank goodness we live in a time when long-neglected workplace issues such as sexual harassment and discrimination are finally being brought into the spotlight. Whether overt or unspoken, intended or unconscious, legitimate concerns are far too common. Prevention programs exist, but they’re often left on the back burner until a major misstep. The training world needs to catch up.

We take a highly interactive, simulation approach where participants step into various roles directly and indirectly involved in different situations. The company is fictitious, but the incidents are frustratingly familiar, drawn from our work with hundreds of companies. Let’s all learn to do the right thing.

Key Takeaways:

  • Understand company’s policy on harassment & discrimination
  • Identify quid pro quo vs. hostile work environment issues
  • Be as sensitive to minor daily infractions as major violations
  • Take immediate action if you experience or witness problems
  • Avoid retaliation and know the appropriate follow up steps
  • Know what to do if an employee shares complaint with you
  • Avoid unintentionally contributing to harboring or hostility
  • Effective ways of working through most likely situations
