Navigating Unconscious  Bias to Promote Inclusion*

Everyone has unconscious biases. The key to overcome unconscious bias is to be aware of it and to actively work to control it. This training defines unconscious bias, why it matters, and how to ensure unconscious bias is not impacting the workplace. We will also define and discuss the importance of inclusion and the connection between unconscious bias and inclusion. The goal of this training is to gain awareness and take action to promote inclusion.

Credit Hours

*The workshop offers 6 PDCs for the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP and 6 hours of HR (General) credit towards PHR and SPHR recertification requirements. 


ERICA DyREYES spent most of her career as an Employee Relations Director for a Fortune 500 company where she provided advice and counsel on employment law topics to HR professionals operating nationwide and across industries. She provided training seminars on a variety of topics from FMLA, ADA, Anti-Discrimination to Workplace Civility and Unconscious Bias. Erica has spent her entire career working for her clients and is service-focused. Erica has a passion for her role working to ensure employees are treating with respect while simultaneously protecting organizations from liability.
