International Mobility Trends - Adapting to the New Normal*
Presented by Brad Shepherd, Vice President, K2 Mobility AND Kay Kolakowski, CRP, SGMS, Global Mobility Manager, Aveva, Inc.
This session will review current international mobility trends, impacts, considerations, and best practices in the evolving “new normal” post COVID 19. This session will explore the current practices in effectively managing international cross border assignments and permanent transfers which will include challenges, potential solutions and key considerations facing companies today, and in the future. The session will provide insights on the newest mobility topic, Virtual International Assignments.
*The meeting offers 1 PDC for the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP, and 1 hour of Global credit towards PHR and SPHR recertification requirements.
BRAD SHEPHERD has 23 years’ experience in the mobility industry and is currently the Vice President of Business Development, Americas for K2 Corporate Mobility where he facilitates program development, global implementation of both domestic and international programs, policy development and new client onboarding. Brad has experience supporting mobility programs for those with an occasional need, to fortune 50 companies transferring thousands globally. Brad’s experience ranges from niche companies providing specialized mobility services to full service, global relocation management companies delivering services in over 180 countries. Brad is a member of the Employee Relocation Council and board member, past President of St. Louis Employee Relocation Council.
KAY KOLAKOWSKI has been in the Global Mobility industry for over 20 years, with experience in both in-house corporate mobility management and as a relocation management supplier. Currently, Kay is the Global Mobility Manager for Aveva, Inc. where she is responsible for all domestic US, international relocation, and immigration functions. Kay has experience in policy development and administration, vendor selection and management, immigration, tax, and corporate training. She is a current member of Worldwide Employee Relocation Council (ERC) and holds her CRP, SGMS designations and received the Meritorious Service Award. Kay has also served on the ERC Global Advisory Council, several Program Planning Committees, and Mobility Advisory Committee.
